Buhari represents evil, says Fani-Kayode

Buhari represents evil, says Fani-Kayode
January 07
14:52 2015

Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesman of the PDP presidential campaign organisation, says Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the APC, represents “evil” and “darkness”.

He was addressing the media on Wednesday at the campaign headquarters of President Goodluck Jonathan who is seeking re-election next month.

He said: “We wish to inform you that it is our intention to run a clean campaign that is based on facts, figures and issues.

“We shall not indulge in the type of cheap propaganda, mud-slinging and deceit that the APC and their Presidential candidate have been indulging in over the last few weeks and months but it is our full intention to expose General Muhammadu Buhari for what he really is, what he stands for and the great danger that his candidacy portends for the unity of the Nigerian state and the peace and well-being of the Nigerian people.

“More importantly, we shall let the world know about the sterling performance of our candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, over the last four years and we shall make a strong case and appeal to the Nigerian people to grant him the privilege and opportunity to serve a second term.  We believe that we have reached a crossroads in our nation’s history and that the forthcoming Presidential Election is a battle for the very soul and destiny of Nigeria.

“We believe that it is a struggle between light and darkness.  We believe that General Buhari represents the darkness and that President Jonathan represents the light. We believe that General Buhari represents a return to an ugly past which is best forgotten while President Jonathan represents our hope for a greater and better future.  We believe that the APC, on which platform General Buhari is contesting the presidential election, represents everything that is unholy and unwholesome in our society and that the PDP represents all that is decent and good.

“We believe that the much-vaunted ‘change’ campaign of General Buhari represents nothing but a change from good to evil.  If you want a positive change, you cannot expect to get it from a man like General Buhari whose democratic credentials are questionable and whose record in public office is shameful and disastrous.  Most people do not remember the atrocities that he committed when he was in power and it is our intention to document them and remind the Nigerian people about them.

“Most people have chosen to ignore the number of things that General Buhari has said and the number of things that he has done over the last few months and years that have brought carnage, division and strife in our society and that prove that he is not the sort of person that can be trusted with power.  It is our intention to bring those things to the attention of the Nigerian people so that they can make an informed choice.

“We do not believe that Nigeria ought to be run by a man that is not capable of tolerating dissent or by a political party like the APC that has no sense of remorse, restraint or decency and that is not capable of accepting a plurality of views.  We believe that President Goodluck Jonathan has earned the right for a second term and, in the next few weeks, we shall make a humble appeal to the Nigerian people to vote for him massively in the February 14 Presidential Election. By the grace and power of God, we shall prevail.”

Fani-Kayode was a member of the APC before he returned the PDP last year, alleging that the opposition party has sympathy for Boko Haram.

Hear FKK speaking with both sides of his mouth. In one breadth, he is talking about campaigning on issues and yet again, going personal. Yes, Buhari was a former dictator, but this is the same man who has repeatedly subjected himself to democratic tenets since he has started contesting for elections in 2003. This FKK can’t stop being rude and insolent. This guy lacks proper upbringing. Shame!

Why are the answers against the president abuses and anger. Why can’t APC just tell Nigerians their agenda and constract it to what the president and his party have done.
Its seems to me a fear creating campaign, while I believe Nigerians want to know what APC would do better.
This is the “REAL CHANGE” we want.

@leke. You may have been living in the moon. APC says they will stop corruptiona and insecurity – two major challenges to your current goverment. Your President went out to abuse OBJ for saying that the economy has been grossly mis-managed. Ngozi (the Prime Minister) came out with irreconcillable figures to defend the mismanagement and ended confusing the issues. Now if you want to know Change means -Kill Corruption, Kill Insurgengency/Insecurity, Manage the economy well for ordinary Nigerians etc.

Does FFK take himself serious at any time? His statements are always like that he made about late Ojukwu’s wife. Must he talk because he had his corruption charges dropped? Is he scared that his case is not statue-barred by May 2015?

The test of the pudding is in the eating.
Buhari was tested, GEJ has also been tested. We should be able to compare & contrast who deserves a second shot @ Aso Rock based on performance.
Nigerians celebrated on the streets when he was thrown out of power some yrs ago. Don’t be deceived, be wise.

FFK is the one who will brake the rolling Buhari juggernaut and subject him to close scrutiny before he returns us to military dictatorship or at best a diarchy. Nigeria will remain democratic and any attempt to CHANGE the status-quo will be resisted with our votes.

These politicians want to set this country on fire and am beginning to think it is inevitable. We have a choice between two candidates that presents adverse consequences if either one looses. People like FFK are the hatchet men who invoke division with their utterances. ApC is also guilty of this but I expect the ruling partt to be more civil. A gov of the ruling party asked his followers to crush APC like cockroaches. DsS didnt say anyghing. A major supporter of GEJ said the north were beggars who deserve nothing but beggared status and oppression. DSS no talk. But when the APC makes statements considered inciting, the world will come to an end. Nigerians have failed themselves

How would FFK who couldn’t help Omisore to win his native Osun governorship now help GEJ to win the Nigerian presidency? He has to take this job as payback for the dropping of the graft charges against him by GEJ. The administration was already using him to whip up highly volatile religious sentiments against Buhari. He would be a worse attack dog compared to Okupe.

We all need to wake up from our deep sleep and fight for the betterment of our country. What hope is there for the future generation.? A country that has retrogressed so much that she does not have the resources and the manpower to quench the rebellion from a bunch of idiots in the name of Boko Haram. A country that cannot guarantee the safety of her citizens. A country that is so ridden with corruption , a country that so not have constant supply of power , a country with deplorable road condition. An oil producing country where majority of her citizens live below poverty level. A country that has degenerated so much that the president goes about canvassing for votes while the citizens are being killed daily, where communities are being burnt down daily. A country where the people that are elected to serve the people turn into Demi -gods who are unaccountable to nobody. I despair for my country

FFK is shameless. He calls GMB evil! FFK is more evil than the object of his outburst. He is fearful because the selfish president who he has sought protection under will soon become incapable of helping himself not alone helping others. One good thing that has happened to APC is the removal of the like of FFK from the ever increasing fold of APC. Another mistake of Jonathan Campaign Organisation is the making of FFK its spokesperson who lacks all the political and moral credentials of a spokesperson. FFK parades himself as a christian but exhibits infidelistic characteristics. He wants to shows the world that he is the piper who echoes the misgivings of his payers! But FFK should note that he is still young and so should stop the deceit that runs in his veins. Nigerians now know better and don’t need an FFK’s exposure. The charges against FFK are only in abeyance capable of legal resurrection when a sane administration resumes office in May 2015.
