Fresh-faced and budding female artiste Yemi Alade, who rose to fame with the chart-topping success of the monster hit song Johnny, just launched a singing competition to promote her new single Temperature.

The track is included in her first studio album titled ‘Kings of Queens’, released in October 2014

Tagged ‘#TemperatureSingingContest’, the competition is hosted on Instagram and is part of celebrations for her 26th birthday coming up on the March 13, 2015.

A lucky fan will get to dine with the music superstar at Eko Hotel, Nigeria and receive a brand new iPhone 6 just by posting a video of himself/herself singing Temperature off the ‘King of Queens’ album and campaigning for votes/likes after it is re-posted on Yemi Alade’s Instagram account.

Fans can also record covers of the song, as the instrumentation of the song has been made available for free download. The video with the highest amount of likes by March 13, 2015 will be declared the winner.

Yemi Alade will also be releasing the music video for the duet Temperature with Afro R&B royal DiL on March 13, 2015.

The multilingual entertainer, who is currently in France on a European tour, has posted a video to her fans about the pervasive public display of affection everywhere in Paris, “the city of love”.

She said: “I don’t understand what is going on in Paris. You turn left, they are kissing. You turn right, they are kissing. Is it because the temperature is six degrees this morning? Anyways, [it] is OK. It’s none of my business.”
