This is not the first time insurgents will launch attacks on worshippers during prayers in mosques in Zamfara.

On September 2, gunmen invaded a mosque in Zugu community in Bukkuyum LGA of the state, abducting many worshippers.

The gunmen were said to have disguised themselves as worshippers.
