At least two persons were killed when a container totalled a car at Ojuelegba in Lagos on Wednesday.   

According to witnesses, the container fell when the truck conveying it skidded off the Ojuelegba Bridge.

An official of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) at scene of the incident confirmed that at least two persons were trapped in the smashed vehicle.

He said the incident occurred early in the evening.

A team of rescue workers has since stepped in to manage the situation.

The accident caused a messy traffic situation in that axis of Lagos, which is already notorious for knotty gridlock.
