21st Century Technologies Limited has obtained a Tier IV certification from Uptime Institute, the first time for any telecommunications company in Africa.

With this certification, 21st Century will construct a digital economy data centre in Nigeria.

In 2018, 21st Century Technologies, which is led by Wale Ajisebutu (pictured), achieved the multi-tier cloud security standard.

At that time, the company described the standard as one that involves relevant cloud computing security practices and controls for public cloud users, public cloud service providers, auditors and certifiers.

Uptime Institute provides standards globally for the design, construction and operations of data centres in the IT industry.

With its data centre tier standard & certifications, management & operations reviews, efficient IT stamp of approval, and accredited educational curriculum for data centre professionals, Uptime Institute helps organizations optimize critical IT assets while managing costs, resources and efficiency.

It has become the de facto standard for data centre reliability, sustainability and efficiency.

It also conducts a comprehensive global survey of the data centre industry annually.

In its over 20 years of operations, Uptime Institute provides customers with the assurance that their digital infrastructure can perform at a level that is consistent with their business needs, across a wide array of operating conditions.
