37 soldiers injured in Kano road crash

Thirty-seven soldiers were injured in Kano state on Friday after a truck conveying them was involved in an accident.

According to Aminu Umar, sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Kano, the incident occurred along Kano-Gaya road.

Umar said the vehicle of the troops led by O. Alieze, a major, had brake failure in Gaya town of Gaya local government area of the state.

He said the injured soldiers have been taken to a general hospital in Dutse, Jigawa state, for treatment.

Umar said no life was lost in the incident.
