After the drama that ensued between Tiwa Savage, Nigerian musician, and Tunji Balogun, her former manager and husband popularly known as Tee Billz, the couple are certainly not alone on the list of marriages that have hit the rocks.

The situation is not as bad as it seems, but here are five other celebrity couples whose marriages did not go so well.

Fathia Williams and Saheed Balogun

They were one of Nollywood’s popular couples as they were known for their movies.

The estranged couple split in 2008 with accusations of battery and infidelity, Saheed Balogun saying that only two of their three kids were his.

The actress, who has insisted on keeping her ex-husband’s surname, has made her intentions of staying single known.

Doris Simeon and Daniel Ademinokan

Their story is similar to that of Saheed Balogun and Fathia Balogun, as they were both movie practitioners. In an interview, the actress said that her marriage was not as rosy as it appeared and her former husband decided that he did not want the marriage again.

Daniel Ademinokan is now living abroad, and took their son with him. He is now married to Stella Damascus, a Nollywood colleague.

In a Facebook post, Ademinokan pleaded with fans to allow him raise his son in peace while Doris Simeon said she was not ready to reconcile with him.

Kate Henshaw and Roderick Nuttall

The pair got married in 2000 and they have a daughter together. They got divorced in 2011 over what they termed “irreconcilable differences” although there were rumours of infidelity. Her ex-husband got married to the lady who was speculated to be the cause of the marriage breakup.

The lady (name unknown) was speculated to be a secretary at Nuttall’s work place.

Toyin Aimakhu and Adeniyi Johnson

Infidelity was the story for this duo. The couple both work in Nollywood.

Adeniyi Johnson was reported to be having affair outside his marriage. Despite a public apology by Johnson, the couple could not resolve their differences.

Aimakhu had a relationship with Seun Egbegbe, a movie producer, afterwards but it did not last long and was eventually forced to issue a disclaimer about him.

In a video on her YouTube channel, the Nollywood actress disclosed that she still loved her former husband but she could never go back to him.

9ice and Toni Payne

Their marital problem was widely publicized, as fans speculated that Abolore Adigun, Nigerian indigenous singer better known as 9ice, had written a song about his wife’s infidelity.

In the track, Once bitten Twice Shy, 9ice told tales of a cheating partner and fans claimed that Ruggedman was the accused.

Few months ago, 9ice released a statement clearly denying that Ruggedman was the target of the track, adding that both parties in the marriage mutually agreed to walk away from it.
