Nine people have been killed in Tudu village in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state, according to The PUNCH.

A resident quoted by the newspaper said gunmen invaded the village about 5am on Wednesday and started shooting sporadically.

Cafra Caino, chairman of the local government, was reported to confirm that nine lives were lost, and the intervention of security operatives prevented more casualties in the attack.

“We have once again been set back in our confidence building effort and peace engagements after Tudu village in Agwala Dutse general area was attacked this morning,” he was quoted.
