Niger gov fires SSG ‘for no reason’

Abubakar Bello, Niger state governor, has fired Shehu Umar Danyaya, secretary to the state government (SSG), without disclosing the reason for the action.
Jonathan Vatsa, the state commissioner of information, announced this in a statement, saying Ibrahim Ladan has been appointed as Danyaya’s replacement.
Vatsa said the new appointment takes immediate effect.
He said the governor thanked the former SSG for the services rendered and wished him well in his future endeavor.
