Christian leaders commend Uba Sani for promoting peace, interfaith harmony in Kaduna

Christian leaders from various denominations have commended Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, for his leadership style rooted in fairness, equity, and inclusivity.

The praises came during the Kaduna Unity Christmas Carol organised by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the Kaduna government on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Ademola Tinuoye, chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum, said Sani has fulfilled key promises made upon assuming office.

“You promised fairness, and we have seen it — there is no crisis because of your fair dealings,” Tinuoye said.

“You promised equity and inclusiveness; everyone is being carried along. You also promised justice, and you have delivered.”

Amos Kiri, president of the United Church of Christ, commended the governor for attending the event with his entire cabinet, describing it as a demonstration of love and peaceful governance.

“Over the years, Christians in Kaduna have not had the privilege of seeing their governor attend a Christian programme like this,” Kiri said.

He praised the presence of adherents from other faiths, turning the carol into an interfaith celebration.

“If you continue this way, Kaduna will remain peaceful, and Nigeria will progress,” he added.

Tunde Bolanta, apostolic overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, said the season symbolised bridge-building and unity — qualities Sani has exemplified.

“For those of us who grew up in Kaduna in the 60s and 70s, what the governor is doing is bringing back the old days of harmony between Muslims and Christians,” Bolanta said.

He described Sani as a “governor for all”, executing projects across the state and showing the nation a path to unity.
