Emotional Obama sheds tears thanking Michelle in farewell speech

Barrack Obama, outgoing president of the United States, got emotional while thanking his wife Michelle during his farewell speech on Tuesday night.

“For the past 25 years, you’ve not only been my wife and the mother of my children, you’ve been my best friend,” he said.

“You took on a role you didn’t ask for, and you made it your own, with grace; with grip; with style and with humour.

“You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody and a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model, so you’ve made me proud, you’ve made the county proud.
