Stoke City forward Victor Moses has vowed to fight his way back into the Super Eagles’ starting lineup in next month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

Moses, who was in the team during the World Cup in Brazil, was overlooked by coach Stephen Keshi in the recent matches against Congo and South Africa.

Now the winger feels that he has a very good chance of earning a recall into the team, provided he does well for Stoke City starting with Saturday’s game away to Queens Park Rangers in the Barclays Premier League.

“I always love playing for my country. It is a thing of pride and that was why I chose to play for Nigeria over England,” he told Stoke Sentinel.

“I will always jump at the opportunity to play for Nigeria if invited by the manager and hope that I will get the chance to play again and hopefully put a smile on the faces of my fans. I am ready for the battle into the national team.

“But at the moment, the focus is to play well for Stoke City because I guess that we are mainly judged by our performance for our respective clubs and hope to do well in the next matches.”

Moses is yet to score for Stoke in his two Premier League appearances.

Nigeria will meet Sudan in Omdurman on October 10 before hosting the return leg on October 15 in Abuja.
