Bartholomew Ogbeche has sent out a “forget-me-not” plea to Super Eagles caretaker coach, Shuaibu Amodu, from his base in the Netherlands.

The 30-year-old, who has scored six times in nine games for SC Cambuur in the Dutch league, has spoken of his desire to return to Nigeria senior national team after a 10-year absence.

“I have unfinished business with the Super Eagles, I’m still available if I’m called up, I never said I had quit the team,” Ogbeche told Voetball Media.

Ogbeche played for Nigeria between 2002 and 2004 and was in the squad to Korea/Japan World Cup where he appeared in two group stage games.

Now, the player who is currently Nigeria’s top goal scorer in Europe with six goals, insists that he is in a much better shape than ever to play for his country.

“Have been lucky with injuries unlike in previous campaigns, years and club. For the first time, I had a full pre-season.

“Now, more than ever, I’m in a better shape to play for my nation and make up for the disappointments of the past.”

Since he left Paris Saint-Germain in 2005, his soccer career has traversed the nook and cranny of the world, which has seen him play for nine clubs before he joined SC Cambuur this season.

He has won 11 caps for Nigeria, scoring three goals.
