PDP insists APC, Buhari behind Boko Haram

PDP insists APC, Buhari behind Boko Haram
December 22
18:49 2014

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Muhammadu Buhari of being responsible for Boko Haram insurgency in the country.

The ruling party also slammed Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the APC, saying he has no dialogue value.

Speaking through Olisa Metuh, its spokesman, the ruling party said: “No amount of blackmail and wild allegations against President Goodluck Jonathan can exonerate the APC of blame for insurgency and wave of violence ravaging some northern states of the country.

“The memory of Nigerians is not short on the body language and inciting utterances of APC leaders, including their presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, which have served as fuel to the raging flame of terrorism.”

According to the PDP, “by going to the international media recently to distance themselves from complicity and in turning round to blame the PDP, the APC is asking Nigerians to suddenly grow forgetful of the barrage of statements by their leaders that promoted insurgency in the country.”

The party alleged that the APC standard bearer made incendiary remarks which emboldened insurgents, saying it was in keeping with the agenda of the main opposition party to achieve political control through violence.

It compared the attitude of APC leaders on insurgency to the metaphor of a young man sent on a criminal mission by the father, whose boldness knew no bounds.

“Nigerians have not forgotten the spontaneous violence and mayhem on innocent citizens following inciting statements by Buhari and other APC leaders then in the defunct CPC, upon losing the 2011 presidential election,” the PDP said.

“The APC leaders have so far left no Nigerian in doubt of their party’s violent disposition as Buhari in May 2012, remorselessly stated that ‘the monkey and baboon will be soaked in blood’ should he lose the 2015 presidential election.

“Attesting that penchant for violence flows in the portal vein of the rank and file of the APC, Buhari’s Man-Friday and former FCT minister, Malam Nasir El-Rufai in his capacity then as APC deputy national secretary, in January 2014, told the whole world that the next election was likely to be violent and many people were likely going to die. And the only alternative left to get power was to take it by force; this is the reality on the ground.

“Nigerians have also read and heard other ricocheting calls for violence and threats of parallel government from other leaders of this same party. These are not just mere slips but incontrovertible snips from the agenda of the APC to sustain insurgency and set the stage for carnage after they lose in the 2015 general elections.

“We find it funny that the APC which has presented its flagbearer, Buhari as a macho mascot that will bring insurgency to an end in matter of weeks using sheer force, is turning round to play the card of dialogue just to disparage the president.

“Ironically, for over a year of Buhari’s draconian rule in the 1980s and even now in pretended love for democracy, the general is never known to be amenable to any form of dialogue. So, where will this hyped Midas touch on dialogue come from?

“Well-meaning Nigerians appreciate the way and manner the Jonathan administration is confronting insurgency using dialogue and military option. Twice, the Council of State has appraised and endorsed this approach despite spirited efforts by the opposition to distract the President and demoralize our security forces.”

Jonathan has bad adviser and Mr president himself lack leadership quality without know idear of administration. Our president sometime behave like somebody that has no Intelligent and capacity to rule Nigeria. The truth is that If suspect that member of opposition is responsible for insurgency why can’t you arrest then and charge then to court of law. Mr president and hs so call executive are fused set of people no wonder they are just ruling Nigeria by force. Well its well. Nigeria is in the hand of God and coming 2015 Buhari will rule and deliver Nigeria from poverty. Therefor, we need change

Without any doubt in mind Buhari will emerge the winner of Nigeria 2015 presidential election. Iam one of many Nigerian critisizing the E-x general but after his national interview held few week ago It become very obvious that Buhari has what it takes to win the next election with land slide margin over Jonathan. We all love Nigeria and the way things are going under the administration is very worrisome, and corruption all time very high, and that is the primary down fall of a nation. It is time for a change where descipline will restore to the country. The situation in Nigeria calling for a very descipline leader and Jonathan and PDP seems out of steam/ momentum to move the country forward..The coming election does go beyond religion affiliation but to safe the country from a free fall in every sphere. Again, after listen carefully to Buhari interview i have no any doubt Buhari is in best position to salvage the country from total ruin.lets face it Jonathan has done the very best he can but his best not best enough to continue his presidency as it fell short in dealing with many problems confronting Nigeria. But either good or bad the end shall tell. With free and fair election Buhari having the best chnces becoming the next president of the republic of Nigeria.

Laughabble! Isn’t it? PDP is just telling the whole world how incapable they are in governing our once-beloved country; the pride of black race, Nigeria. PDP should know that Nigerians are sick andd tired of them. Olisa Metun should just mention one achievement of his part since assuming power in 2011, just one. Is it in the power sector, education, econmy? I humbly submit “PDP is a failure”.

I can’t believe that this statement is coming from a ruling party. If it is true; then it goes all the way to show the lack of direction, ideas, strategic thinking and action and lack of will power of PDP led administration to end the insurgency. If PDP is sure to have known the people fuelling the insurgency where defenceless and helpless civilians are murdered everyday. Must they wait till the whole country is wiped out by Book haram before taking legal actions against all offenders? The best thing any sensible person will expect is not to sit back and trade blames but those responsible should have been arrested, publicly exposed and sentenced long time ago. This statement is least expected from PDP but not a surprise anyway.
It is only in Nigeria that we can be searching for billions of missing dollars with torch light exactly like finding a missing needle under the table. What a shame! All these under the watch of President GEJ. It’s time for to vote out PDP. This is a great opportunity for change that Nigerians must never miss because we may not have a second chance!

Ludicrous! How could beneficiaries suddenly turn against its ‘sponsor’……..even to the point of attempted his life? Boko Haram almost killed Buhari in one of its deadliest attacks somewhere in Kaduna or so. It appears PDP’s Warehouse of libelous and scandalous propaganda is gradually running out of stock. As someone commented earlier, PDP is bereft of issues and good advisers. I am convinced, Buhari is not in any way responsible for any Boko Haram’s insurgency in this country. QED!

Has any SENSIBLE man ever thought of this statement made by Buhari; THAT HE WILL MAKE NIGERIA UNGOVERNABLE SHOULD HE LOSES THE 2015 ELECTIONS? It is only a fool that will support one who made such
statement, after inciting people to murder over 200 NYSC members after losing the 2011 elections. With Buhari as APC Flag bearer, PDP’s victory is certain. BUHARI WILL NEVER WIN ANY ELECTIONS IN THIS COUNTRY, not even Governorship elections in his own state.

Am totally confused, if GEJ know pple who ar behind boko haram insurgency, he made a unforgivable mistake for not bring dem to book, by prosecute dem, but if truely GMB have hand in sponsoring or supporting Boko haram shedding of our citizen innocent blood, he will only see d throne but he won’t be crowned but labour 4 his running mate to eat and all his hand work he laboured for shall be in vain, but if he dooesnt he will surely use his 8yrs for d betterment of Nigeria, sincerely spaeaking PDP only God can delivered us in Nigeria

Boko Haram has successfully killed/chased combat ready nigerian soldiers into Cameron. They have successfully sacked hold army barracks in Adamawa/Borno etc. I believe that Buhari probably moves about with a battalion of soldiers far superior to the nigerian armed forces. that is why effort by Boko Haram to kill him cannot go beyond mere attempts.
