DSS findings on APC have vindicated us, says PDP

DSS findings on APC have vindicated us, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it has been vindicated by the findings of the Department of State Services (DSS) regarding the alleged plot of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to compromise the electoral process by hacking into the database of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Although APC already described the findings as hogwashOlisa Metuh, spokesman of PDP, argued that Nigerians and the international community could now see that his party was not making mere allegations when it raised the alarm that the opposition was cloning INEC’s permanent voters card (PVC) and employing technologies to hack into the commission’s database.

“When we alerted Nigerians that the APC is on a sinister mission against this country, some people dismissed us as crying wolf and playing to the gallery. Now that they have been exposed, the world can see that the APC is indeed a party of criminals in desperate quest for power,” he said.

“Everyone now knows on what strength a party which lacks genuine followership among the people has been boasting that it will emerge victorious in the elections with threats of violence if it loses.

“It is shocking that while other parties are working hard to win votes, the APC was busy procuring hacking equipment and training their members on how to subvert the will of the people and steal their mandate. This is indeed a slap in the face of Nigerians and the worst assault on our democracy.

“What can the supporters of the APC say now that they have been exposed? What can they say now that the true colour of a party, which has been parading itself in a messianic robe, has finally been revealed?

“The APC and its leaders, especially its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari with his so-called moral credentials are a huge disgrace to our nation. They have proven to be persons of questionable character who should not be entrusted with leadership. They should hide their faces in shame and seek forgiveness from God and the people.”

Calling on Nigerians to be vigilant, Metuh urged security agencies not to rest on their oars and charged INEC to ensure that “it was not complicit in this heinous crime against the Nigerian state and its people.”

The DSS should take its case to court if we are to believe them! The same DSS that has failed woefully to pre-empt Boko Haram!

Why won’t DSS vindicate you? Who sent them in the first place? Are they not working for you?
