EPL results: Emmanuel Dennis helps Watford beat Everton as Chelsea thrash Norwich 7-0

Emmanuel Dennis, Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, scored the last goal in Watford’s 5-2 win over Everton in their English Premier League (EPL) match at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Dennis, who also provided two assists, scored his third goal of the season in added time to seal a surprise victory for Watford in a match William Troost-Ekong, Super Eagles’ captain, played 90 minutes while Alex Iwobi was a 77th-minute substitute for Everton.

The Hornets scored four second-half goals to upstage Everton in their backyard to claim their first win in four league matches.

The Toffees took the lead twice before Watford scored four goals in the last 12 minutes for a much-needed win.

Joshua King completed his hattrick to give the visitors a two-goal lead before Dennis slotted home to confirm Watford’s first-ever win away at Everton.

The win was the first for Claudio Ranieri in only his second game as Watford manager, and the recently promoted club climbs to 14th on the EPL table with 10 points from nine matches.

In the day’s earlier match, Chelsea demolished hapless, ten-men Norwich City 7-0 at Stamford Bridge with Mason Mount bagging a hattrick in the absence of the injured striking duo — Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.

The Blues scored four second-half goals to further confirm winless Norwich as relegation candidates. Thomas Tuchel’s side leads at the top with 22 points from nine matches ahead of Liverpool who play Manchester United on Sunday.
