The reactions to the comment of President Muhammadu Buhari on his succession plan dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

THISDAY reports that the APC may re-open sale of forms to allow more northern presidential hopefuls to participate in the primaries. The newspaper says the Nigerian Army has denied the involvement of soldiers in the kidnap of Samuel Kanu, prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria (MCN).

The Nation reports that Ben Ayade, governor of Cross River, said it is the turn of the southern part of the country to produce the next president. The Nation says Tanko Rossi, a delegate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna, has shared the money he got from party’s aspirants with members of his community in Sanga LGA.
