The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu says the governorship election in the state was fraught with “malfeasance, violence, and illegalities”.

In a statement on Monday, Ndubuisi Enechi Onyia, the chairperson of AGPGA in Enugu, said the election was a complete sham carried out with no regard to the electoral act and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines.

“We completely reject the entire process and consider whatever the outcome is as flawed,” Onyia said.

“We also commiserate with everyone who was hurt physically and celebrate those who remained adamant in the pursuit of justice and fairness.

“When a conclusive result is announced, we will make our full position and next steps known.”

He also lauded the boldness and commitment of the party’s members for their doggedness during the polls.

“While we await the announcement of a conclusive result by INEC, we would like to state categorically that APGA condemns the gross malfeasance, violence, and illegalities that characterised the election,’’ he said.
