Ado Tambai Kwa, an ally of Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dumped the party for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Kwa is the chairman of Dawakin-Tofa LGA of Kano state. Ganduje is from the same LGA.
Kwa left the APC with some of his council members at a ceremony in Kano on Saturday.
Two of his colleagues from Nasarawa and Garun Malam LGAs also decamped to the NNPP.
Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, welcomed the decampees to NNPP, saying the “party is home to anybody who wishes the best”.
