Air force pulls ‘weary’ officers out of northeast
The Nigeria air force says it has withdrawn some “weary soldiers” from battle in the northeast and replaced them with fresh combatants.
According to Dele Alonge, air force spokesman, the aim of the exercise is to reinvigorate the minds of the soldiers.
“The Nigeria air force has rotated members of its ground forces fighting alongside the troops of the Nigeria army who have spent over six months at operation Lafiya Dole in northeast, Nigeria,” he said.
“The latest troop rotation, in line with the usual practice, was aimed at reinvigorating the minds of the personnel, and their commitment to the ongoing fight against the Boko Haram terrorists, by replacing the weary hands with fresh ones. The rotation also has the corollary effect of morale boasting for the troops.
Good leadership.
