Aisha Buhari asks Nigerians to show true sense of patriotism

Aisha Buhari, Wife of Nigerian president, has enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, compassion and unity.

In her message to Nigerian on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, she said such attitude was the lesson of Ramadan.

Aisha, who returned from London two weeks ago, thanked Nigerians for all their prayers rendered on behalf ofher husband.

She later took part in the Eid prayers at the Guards Brigade, Mambilla Barracks in Abuja.

“On this occasion of Eid el Fitr celebration, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I felicitate with Nigerians and the Muslim Ummah over this opportunity to get closer to Allah (SWT),” she said in a statement.

“I also thank Nigerians for all their prayers for our dear country and the president, and call on all to imbibe the spirit of love, compassion and unity as basic lessons of Ramadan.

“I appeal to all to show true sense of patriotism for national cohesion to ensure that Nigeria attains the greatness for which it was destined.”
