Ajagba beats Fa of Tonga in Boxing’s round-of-16

National super heavy weight champion, Efe Ajagba, on Friday beat Unaine Fa with unanimous decision in the men’s super-heavy +91kg category of boxing at the ongoing Commonwealth Games.
The three judges each scored the fight 30-27 in favour of the Nigerian, who now books a place in the semi-final.
Ajagba is competing on the big stage for the first time, yet he was able to withstand the threat from Fa, who once fought in the World Series Boxing – a programme that is exclusive for elite professional boxers.
Action continues later on Friday in the men’s welter-weight (69kg) round of 32.

Kehinde Ademuyiwa will slug it out with Selemani Salum Kidunda of Tanzania.
