Super Falcons with board members of MTN Nigeria
Rasheedat Ajibade, Super Falcons captain, said the team is not content with just winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Ajibade said the Falcons are aiming to be “global contenders”.
The Falcons captain spoke on Thursday in a breakfast session organised by MTN in honour of the team at Eko Convention Centre.
On July 19, the Super Falcons won Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title in Morocco.

“We want to take it to the next level. We want to be global contenders. We don’t just want to be local champions. Now it is time to take it to the next level. We understand the assignment and the huge responsibility before us.”
At the event, the Super Falcons were rewarded with N150 million by MTN.
On his part, Karl Toriola, chief executive officer (CEO) of MTN Nigeria, hailed the Super Falcons and urged the team to keep soaring.
