Simeon Ajibola, a senator and the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state, has promised to transform the state if elected.

In a New Year message to the people of Kwara, Ajibola appealed for support, promising to run “an all inclusive and truly transparent government”.

“My good people of Kwara state, I Senator Simeon Sule AJIBOLA, the flagbearer of the PEOPLES DEMOCRACTIC PARTY (PDP) want to first thank Almighty God for seeing us through to the end of 2014. It is my wish and prayer that 2015 will be a year of joy, peace, and prosperity in our various homes and in our State,” he said.

“As we look forward to 2015, I want to re-assure you that the freedom that Kwarans are yearning for will become a reality once a PDP government is voted into power in the February election. Our local governments will have their rightful and correct allocations from Abuja for genuine development according to needs and priorities of the people of each community.

“Our government will be all inclusive and truly transparent. Our traditional institutions will be encouraged to make inputs to governance. The civil service shall become the true engine for policy formulation and implementation. Our youths shall be constructively involved in civic duties; their latent energies shall be positively engaged for development.”

“Our situation cannot remain the same. We have a responsibility towards ourselves and our state to free ourselves from dictatorship, corruption, poverty, social decay, and bad governance.

“The best choice remains PDP. Vote PDP in all the elections. We shall make a difference to better your lives.”
