Godswill Akpabio, senate president
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced new leadership of four senate committees during plenary on Tuesday.
Akpabio said the senate committee on livestock and animal husbandry will be chaired by Shehu Buba, senator representing Bauchi south.
He said the senate committee on national intelligence and national security will be chaired by Abdullahi Yahaya, senator representing Kebbi north.
Akpabio also named Osita Ngwu, senator representing Enugu west, as acting chairman of the committee on air force.

He added that Musa Mustapha, senator representing Yobe east, will now chair the committee on national planning.
On November 26, the senate reconstituted its standing committees on the air force and national security and intelligence.
The committees on army, navy, defence, interior, and police affairs were also mandated to report their activities within a week.
