Riyad Mahrez, Algeria international, has left Manchester City to join Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

According to Skysports, Al Ahli shelled out £30 million to get the former Leicester City wing wizard, who signed a three years contract with his new club.

Mahrez becomes the seventh player to make the switch from the English Premier League (EPL) to the Nuevo-rich Saudi Pro League this summer, following the footsteps of the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Jordan Henderson, and Ruben Neves.

Mahrez’s transfer to the Saudi Arabia Pro League party was also confirmed by the club on its social media handle.

Man City also bade farewell to the 32-year-old, with Txiki Begiristain, the club’s director of football, wishing Mahrez well in his new football chapter.

“Riyad has been a major factor in our amazing successes over the past five years and his contribution will not be forgotten. He is a wonderful footballer to watch and leaves us with so many great memories,” he said.
