Aliyu Wadada
Aliyu Wadada, senator representing Nasarawa west, says no presidential hopeful on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition platform can match President Bola Tinubu’s performance in office.
Wadada spoke on Tuesday, during an interaction with State House correspondents, after a meeting with Tinubu at the presidential villa.
“ADC is membered by Nigerians that we respect. We have respect for them, but look at them,” he said.
“Look at each and every one of them. Who stands to do anything better than what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is doing? Tell me. I haven’t seen any. Ask any of them.

“If you are given the chance to preside over Nigeria, that may come beyond 2027, 2031.
“Between now and 2031, anybody can say what he or she wishes, but the space is already taken, occupied by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Wadada questioned who among the presidential hopefuls would dare to tell Nigerians and the world that they would return fuel subsidy if elected.

He asked what any of them would do differently in the foreign exchange market.
On infrastructural development, Wadada said aspirants need to demonstrate how they would convince Nigerians beyond mere rhetoric.
He also raised concerns about economic leadership, asking what strategies any aspirant would implement to position Nigeria globally, in ways that surpass what the current administration is doing.
“These are people I respect and relate with, but the reality is, let them tell us what they have in their kitty. Tell us! Not just baseless criticisms. We are talking Nigeria, not sectional or regional politics,” he added.

“President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not president of Lagos. Neither is he president of the south-west, or south-east, or south-south, or north-west, or north-east, or north-central.
“He’s the president of Nigeria. And they are also aspiring to be president of Nigeria. So, what is it we’re talking about?”
