Amapakabo, Abia Warriors coach, involved in car accident
Imama Amapakabo, Abia Warriors head coach, has been involved in an accident along Owerri-Okigwe road.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side confirmed the incident on Friday in a statement posted on Facebook.
The club said the former Super Eagles assistant coach and two of his assistants who were involved in the accident are in stable condition.
“Our Head Coach, Imama Amapakabo, alongside other two coaches were involved in a minor road accident on their way to Okigwe for the team’s training session. No life was lost, the Coaches involved are in stable condition. The head coach, Imama Amapakabo, is also in a stable condition as well,” the statement reads.
“Thank you all for the show of love.”
The Umuahia-based side will take on Sunshine Stars in the 2021/22 NPFL season on Sunday.
They lost their opening game 2-1 to Enyimba.
