Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, did not receive the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) protesters, who claimed there was an official notification and a subsequent appointment to receive them.

The protester marched from the Obafemi Awolowo roundabout in Ikeja around 9:55 am to the government house in Alausa, but were prevented by security agents from entering the premises.

The state house security agents told the protesters that the governor was not around to listen to their message, so they had to wait outside.

Wasiu Yusuf, a security assistant to the state governor, addressed the protesters and promised to deliver their letter to him.
