Akinwumi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, has approved the appointment of Idowu Ajanaku, journalist and political strategist, as his special adviser on information and strategy.

According to a letter by Sidikatu Adesoye, the state’s head of service,  Ajanaku’s appointment is in line with Ambode’s vision to strengthen the information machinery in the state “with the aim of making it more people-oriented and effective, right to the grass-root”.

Until his appointment,  Ajanaku was the senior special assistant to the governor on media and strategy.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University (LASU) and a master’s degree in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
