Operatives of the Ondo command of the south-west security network, code-named Amotekun, have rescued the three remaining travellers who were abducted in the state.

Twelve travellers, who were on their way to Lagos on Wednesday, were abducted by gunmen at Idoani-Ifira axis of Ondo state.

On Thursday, Adetunji Adeleye, Ondo commander of Amotekun, confirmed the rescue of nine of the travellers.

“Our men responded to the gunshots and a distress call. They got there on time and were able to rescue nine of them,” he had said.
