Morinola Ani, wife of Anthony Asuquo Ani, former foreign affairs minister and minister of finance, is dead.

According to a statement issued by the family, she died on Tuesday at the aged of 79.

She was a career laboratory technologist who retired as a chief laboratory officer from the department of clinical pathology of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL).

She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.

The family said her funeral arrangements would be announced later.
