Anthony Joshua, world heavyweight champion, will defend his titles against Kubrat Pulev, the IBF’s mandatory challenger, on June 20.

The bout is scheduled to take place at Tottenham Hotspur’s 62,000-seat stadium.

Known as ‘The Cobra’, Pulev took to his Facebook page on Monday to confirm the fight against the world IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion.

“The contract between the two countries is now officially signed and the battle between the Bulgarian Boxer, who is a must-be challenger for the belt of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) is guaranteed,” the Bulgarian wrote.

“I am happy to be able to show the world how strong I am.”

Joshua also confirmed the duel on his Twitter page.

The fight is going to be the 30-year-old first defence of his IBF, WBA and WBO titles on UK soil — in nearly two years after he beat Alexander Povetkin at Wembley.

The British-Nigerian boxer was initially due to fight Pulev at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in October 2017. The Bulgarian, however, withdrew after suffering a shoulder injury during sparring.

In June 2019, Joshua was shocked by Andy Ruiz Jr at the Madison square arena in New York, before he won a rematch in Saudi Arabia in December.

Joshua had also indicated his interest to fight Tyson Fury, the new WBC champion.
