Biodun Ajiboye, the assistant director of media and publicity of the APC presidential campaign, says the recent comments by Naj’atu Muhammad, a former chieftain of the party, on Bola Tinubu have “no iota of fact”.

Speaking on Arise TV on Friday, Ajiboye “challenged” Muhammad to prove her claims.

“She does not know what she is talking about,” he said.

On Thursday, Muhammad, who recently resigned from the APC, said Tinubu is incapable of running the country.

She added that the APC presidential candidate has “an emperor mentality” and only seeks “to hold the knife that will cut the pie” and gain “material and psychological control of the people of the country”.

Reacting to the comments, Ajiboye dismissed Muhammad as a “woman that is disappointed because her expectations are not met”.

He narrated that her expectation could not be met within APC because she failed to prove her mettle.

“This woman came around to flaunt her pedigree and blab about herself that she is the only one in the north. The north is synonymous with her. She made Buhari president and a lot of things. The best she could be given at the campaign council was assistant director and she went haywire to demand a more deserving role. She went as far as lobbying Tinubu in England to rewrite the position,” Ajiboye said.

“She was eventually made a director. And three months down the line, she has not proven useful in whatever capacity they put her. About a month ago, she was running from pillar to pole seeking Tinubu but the argument had been for her to prove her mettle. But nothing was forthcoming. Suddenly, she says she resigns.

“This woman does not know what she is talking about. There is no iota of fact in what she said. I challenge her to prove her claims. This woman is disappointed because her expectations are not met, and her expectation could not have been beyond ‘give me a lot of money to run around’.”
