Kehinde Olaosebikan, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo, says President Bola Tinubu’s second term will drive continuous growth and transformation in Nigeria.
Speaking in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, at the weekend, Olaosebikan said Tinubu would hand over to a competent successor in 2031, just as he did in Lagos with Babatunde Fashola, former governor, in 2007.
He dismissed opposition to Tinubu’s second term bid, describing it as “pointless, counterproductive and anti-development”. He insisted that the president’s re-election is in the best interest of the north and Nigeria.
“With the far-reaching policies and audacious steps being taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that are already leading to unprecedented growth of our economy, industry and commerce, what he needs from all of us, both the North and the South, is our total support and prayer,” he said.

Olaosebikan said Nigeria is “in excellent hands” and expressed confidence that Tinubu would leave behind a legacy of sustained growth through a strategic leadership transition.
He appealed to critics to abandon their hostility and join the “overwhelming majority of Nigerians” backing the president’s re-election.
The APC chieftain added that Tinubu’s ability to sustain Lagos’ growth for 26 years was proof that the president could deliver lasting greatness for Nigeria.
