Abdulrahman Haske, chairman of the APC youth advisory committee in Adamawa
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Abdulrahman Haske as chairman of the youth advisory committee for the August 16 Ganye constituency by-election in Adamawa state.
In a letter announcing the appointment, Mustapha Salihu, APC’s national vice-chairman (north-east), said the decision reflects the party’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive leadership.
Haske will work with members of the national campaign council sub-committee, including Nuruddeen Hamanyero, Dedan Pwadi Hoki, Tahir Abubakar Girei, Musa Terrang, Lamido Hamza Abdullah, and Salihu Mohammed Harbingiwa.
Other members are Huzaifa Sanusi, Idris Zubairu Numan, Sa’adu Adamu Namtari, Khalil Sajo, Dauda Kushu, Isah Garba Mayo, Lukman D. Wise, Shehu Baba-Jacob, and Yakubu Bello Bashir.

The APC urged members and supporters to rally behind Haske and the youth advisory committee to ensure a peaceful and transparent by-election.
Following his appointment, Haske commended President Bola Tinubu for making significant strides in fostering youth inclusivity and steering the APC towards an exceptional course for the nation.
“Under President Tinubu’s leadership, there are intentional efforts to ensure that the youth have a voice in the nation’s development,” he said.

“Managing the APC, President Tinubu has been navigating the complexities of federal governance to benefit the nation at large,” he said.
Haske has also paid a courtesy visit to Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser (NSA) and APC leader in Adamawa state, where he discussed key issues ranging from the by-election, party matters, and strategies to strengthen political ties and support.
He commended the NSA’s leadership style, inclusivity, and achievements.
Haske, a native of Yola, is a businessman and youth advocate with interests in construction, agriculture and information technology.

He founded the AB Haske Foundation, which has carried out philanthropic work across Adamawa.
He is an alumnus of the American University of Nigeria, Manchester Business School and Lagos Business School, and a member of the Institute of Directors in Nigeria.
Haske runs a 48-tonne-a-day rice processing mill in Adamawa, described as the first of its kind in the north-east.
He is also an avid polo player who has contributed to the sport’s development in Nigeria and beyond.
