APPLY: UN seeks consultant for WFP Africa programme

The United Nations (UN) has put out a call for qualified candidates to fill the role of a programme policy officer.

According to the hiring advertisement released on Friday, the successful candidate will be expected to work in the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) office in New York.

The successful candidate, to be hired as a consultant, will report to the office of the secretary-general and special adviser on Africa (OSAA).

“The candidate will be responsible for the contribution to policy formulation and provision of technical advice related to school meals programmes and is expected to operate with considerable independence in their specialities,” the UN said.

Applicants are expected to possess technical skills and should be passionate about Africa’s development, policy-making and advocacy, and impacting lives through the school meals coalition.
