Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has urged the people of the state to dispel rumours making the rounds that he plans to sack workers if re-elected.

Speaking with NAN in Osogbo, a senior special assistant to the governor, Mr Olatunbosun Oyinloye, said the speculation that Aregbessola would reduce the state’s labour force, if re-elected, is the handiwork of the opposition.

“Governor Aregbesola would rather employ more workers as he earlier declared publicly,” Oyinloye said.

“The efforts and programmes of Aregbesola administration have clearly shown love for our people, generally. We will do everything possible to better the lot of our people’.”

He added that opposition parties have nothing to justify their political ambitions, and urged the workers “not to be deceived by the antics of some politicians.”
