After another exciting weekend of football actions, TheCable selects the Nigerian team of the week.

Maduka Okoye – Sparta Rotterdam

It was indeed a great day in office for the former Fortuna Düsseldorf keeper as he made numerous saves for Sparta Rotterdam who shocked Vitesse 1-0. He also stopped a spot-kick.

Victor Moses – Spartak Moscow

The Crystal Palace product was menacing against Dinamo Moscow as his team won 2-0. He picks up his place at left-back.

Tosin Adarabioyo – Fulham

On a day when Fulham needed someone to rise up to the occasion, Adarabioyo provided an assist.

Semi Ajayi – West Brom

Ajayi continued to show why he is highly rated with an excellent performance for the Baggies against Hull City.

Jamilu Collins – Paderborn

Paderborn edged Holstein Kiel in a seven-goal thriller and their Nigerian import Jamilu Collins registered his name on the scoresheet.

Joe Aribo – Rangers

The Gers were put at a tight corner by Aberdeen and it was Aribo who helped unlock the visitors with a quality assist.

Wilfred Ndidi – Leicester City

Another great shift from Ndidi as Leicester City beat Leeds United 1-0.

Azubuike Okechukwu – Yeni Malatyaspor

Zubby gave a good account of himself in Yeni Malatyaspor’s slim win over Adana Demirspor.

Kelechi Iheanacho – Leicester City

Iheanacho was a positive influence for the Foxes as they pipped Leeds United. He accounted for the match-winning assist.

Anthony Nwakaeme – Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor faced Fenerbahce and showed quality. Their talisman Anthony Nwakaeme was on song in the entertaining match.

Cyriel Dessers – Feyenoord

Dessers was the reliable figure for Feyenoord as his club forced Groningen to a 1-1 draw. His equaliser was spectacular.
