Arsenal’s youngsters took revenge Wednesday for the 2-0 defeat suffered by the senior side at the hands of Borrusia Dortmund in Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash.

Arsenal were outclassed, outplayed, and torn apart in Germany against Dortmund, but Arsenal Under-19 made amends against their Dortmund counterparts thanks to a Kaylen Hinds brace.

The Gunners were 2-0 losers at the Westfalenstadion as Jurgen Klopp’s side ran riot at home to ensure there was no repeat of Arsenal’s 1-0 victory in Dortmund last season.

Arsenal Under-19s, though, rewrote the script, kicking off their UEFA Youth League campaign with a 2-0 win to offer scant consolation to their fans after Tuesday’s defeat.

And unlike the Arsene Wenger-tutored team who crashed to Bayern Munich in the round-of-16 last term, coach Steve Gatting’s side enjoyed an excellent run in the inaugural competition last season, reaching the last eight before succumbing to eventual winners Barcelona.

Arsenal’s next fixture in this competition is at home to Galatasaray.
