Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri has been seeded number one in the 32-man seeding list released for the ITTF Challenge ‘Polish Open’.
The tournament serves off on Thursday, October 6 in Warsaw, Poland.
Quadri who lifted the Portuguese Super Cup with Sporting at the weekend is joined on the seeding list by his club side teammate, Joao Monteiro.
Hong Kong’s Ho Kwan Kit and Jiang Tianyi, Germany’s Benedikt Duda, England’s Liam Pitchford, Poland’s Wang Zengyi and Romania’s Ovidiu Ionescu complete the top eight seeds.
Despite being seeded number one in the 2017 Seamaster ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open, Quadri crashed out early in the tournament.
The Nigerian tennis star is hoping to use the Polish Open to prepare for this month’s ITTF World Cup holding in Liege, Belgium.
Quadri, Africa’s highest-ranked table tennis player, recently said he’s in need of a coach to help him prepare for the World Cup.
