The national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is ongoing at Eagle Square in Abuja.
A total of 6,800 delegates were to elect candidates for 60 positions but some aspirants withdrew from the race on Saturday when the exercise started.
Badaru Abubakar, governor of Jigawa state and chairman of the convention committee, announced that 18 candidates emerged unopposed.
