According to the minister, some milestones have been reached since the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit including a partnership between the finance ministry and the NESG to release a report on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Nigerian economy.

He also said the finance ministry is looking into the mobilization of external support by connecting with donors and multilateral agencies and activating steps to increase non-oil revenue generation.

Agba said that the NES26 will agree on a compact plan with clear actions that commit stakeholders to collaborate and build resilience for the economy by ensuring that sustainable development goals are met by 2030.

The conference is themed ‘Building partnerships for resilience’ and is scheduled to hold on October 26 to 27.
