‎There is a heightened sense of expectations at the national assembly, as members of the senate resume.

Lawmakers attired mostly in traditional regalia arrived at the chamber earlier than the usual time of 10 am.

Ita Enang, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on national assembly affairs (senate‎), who is believed to bear the list, is currently at the national assembly, further fuelling reports that the list of ministerial nominees will reach the upper chamber on Tuesday.

There were whispers of a call for the resignation of Senate President Bukola Saraki, owing to his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal for alleged false declaration of assets.
