Audu Ogbeh
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has described the death of Audu Ogbeh, former minister of agriculture and rural development, as a huge loss to the nation.
Ogbeh, an ex-national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and minister in the first term of late President Muhammadu Buhari, died at the age of 78 on August 9.
In a statement by Eseme Eyiboh, his special adviser on media and publicity, Akpabio said Ogbeh, who was also minister of communications in the second republic, lived a life of service and integrity.
“It is with great sadness that I received the news of the passing of Chief Audu Ogbeh, a distinguished elder statesman and a dedicated public servant,” Akpabio said.
