Bahamas 2017: Four Sand Eagles players granted US visas, three denied
The American Embassy has approved the visa applications of four Sand Eagles players who will represent Nigeria at the World Beach Soccer Championship in the Bahamas.
The US embassy had last week approved the visa applications of five players while denying the rest of the team.
However, four of the players denied have now been granted visas.
They include Abu Azeez, Godwin Tale, Emmanuel Owhoferia and Emeka Ogbonna.
Godwin Ayalogu, Ogbonnaya Okemmiri and Taiwo Adams were denied again.
One of the officials whose application was rejected is the team nurse, Ruth Ewelu.
The Beach Soccer World Cup will take place between April 27 and May 7.
Nigeria’s Sand Eagles are in Group B alongside Mexico, Italy and Iran.
