Bandits have reportedly abducted four rice farmers in Bokungi village, Edu LGA of Kwara, barely 24 hours after an attack on Eruku town in the state.
On Tuesday, worshippers at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Oke Isegun, Eruku community — a border town with Kogi in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State — were killed and some abducted by bandits
A video of the attack, captured during a live stream, showed the worshippers conducting a service when sporadic gunshots were heard from around the church premises.
In another development, bandits reportedly attacked Bokungi village between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday while the farmers were working on their farms.

According to ChannelsTV, two farmers were initially abducted while packaging harvested rice, followed shortly by the kidnapping of two more from a neighbouring farm, bringing the total number of victims to four.
Sources described the attack as coordinated, with bandits invading the farms and firing sporadically before abducting the victims.
The abductors reportedly took the farmers into the bush but have yet to contact their families with ransom demands.

Residents of Bokungi village expressed growing fear over the repeated attacks and called on security agencies to intensify operations along the Lafiagi–Bokungi axis to prevent further abductions.
“We cannot sleep with our eyes closed anymore, let alone go to our farms,” one resident, who preferred anonymity, said.
TheCable reached out to the spokesperson of the Kwara police command for confirmation of the incident but did not receive any response to calls or messages.
