Bandits kill five in yet another Kaduna attack

Five people have been killed in an attack by bandits in Katarma village, Chikun LGA of Kaduna state.

Samuel Aruwan, the commissioner for internal security and home affairs, released a statement to this effect on Sunday.

He identified the victims as Samson Danladi, Luka Gajere, Amos Ali, Titus Baba, and Damali Musa.

Aruwan noted that one person was injured during the attack and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, troops under Operation Safe Haven reported a clash between some youths in Atuku village in Jema’a LGA.

“During the clash, one Afiniki Thomas was attacked by two youths, and sustained a deep gash to the forehead,” the commissioner said.

“One of the assailants, Sani Safiyanu was arrested for profiling and Investigation. The injured victim was rushed to hospital for treatment.”

In another incident, the troops were said to have discovered the decomposing corpse of one Paul Simon, a resident of Yagbak village in Zangon Kataf LGA, while on patrol.

According to the statement, the deceased was reported missing on March 24.

Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna state governor, has charged the security operatives to investigate the bandits’ attack.
