Bauchi guber verdict: Bala Mohammed vows to fight on after s’court victory

Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi governor, has vowed to fight on after the supreme court affirmed his election last Friday. 

A five-member panel of the apex court had dismissed the appeal filed by Sadique Abubakar, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 2023 election.

Speaking after the victory, Mohammed praised the judiciary and thanked the supreme court for the verdict.

“I am grateful to the Nigerian judiciary, especially the supreme court. I’m grateful to the government of President Bola Tinubu who believes in good governance,” he said.
