Bayern Munich have beaten Tigres UANL of Mexico 1-0 to clinch the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup trophy.

It was a goalless first forty-five minutes in a keenly contested encounter between the European champions and Tigres — the first side from the North and Central American Football Federation to reach the final of the 17th edition of the tournament.

Benjamin Pavard’s 59th-minute goal was, however, the difference between both sides. Joshua Kimmich also had earlier scored a goal that was disallowed by the VAR.

With the triumph on Thursday night, the Hans Flick men completed a rare clean sweep of six titles inside 12 months at the Education city stadium in Qatar.

The German giants become only the second club after Barcelona, who managed to win all six domestic and international titles available in a single season.

Having already claimed the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, German Super Cup, Bundesliga and German Cup titles in 2020, the European champion completed the sextuplets.

Flick has now won his sixth title in his 68th competitive match as head coach of Bayern.
